Thank you to Kyle Smith (actor, friend) for introducing me to Eddie Izzard comedy. I just found the entire special he played for me, Dressed to Kill, on Youtube.
Two hours of the most intelligent stand up I’ve ever seen. A one-man Monty Python troup.
I moved to greater Cleveland in August of 2007, the year I graduated from college. I started out in Lakewood while working in Westlake, then worked in Ohio City and moved to a neighborhood west of 117th, out of Lakewood and into Cleveland.
I do love the culture in Lakewood, and the 117th area on Clifton has a good variety of shops, diners, and bars. Those neighborhoods were a good transition from my rural background, but once I adjusted I was ready for the city. A year ago this week, I started working downtown at The Greenhouse Tavern. (By the way, thank you Chefs Sawyer and Seeholzer for employing me. I’m really happy there.)
This month, I moved into beautiful East 4th Street. It is perhaps the flashiest street in all of Ohio.
The East 4th Neighborhood, home to Queen No-teeth-a and myself
So how Cleveland does this make me? It’s year three, am I a townie yet? Should I schedule an appointment for my Cleveland tattoo?
