I have been struggling with the layout for this blog. This is a two-part problem. First, I don’t have a definite plan for what I’m blogging about. Second, I don’t know how I want what I blog to be displayed.
After joining Twitter, I decided the Hemmingway theme was not going to work for me because I wanted more widgets. I gave up on a Flickr badge because I am already using the Flickr Photo Album for WordPress, but this Last.fm Sidebar is hottness, too. I scrolled through pages of three colomn themes and magazine layouts but couldn’t find anything that looked as nice as Hemmingway. It’s becoming really obvious that I need to learn CSS to do my own customizations.
As a comprimise, I switched from Hemmingway back to another custom generated theme from WP Theme Gen. It doesn’t look great, but at least I’m displaying all the content I wanted. This should keep me happy until I discover another unsupported Web 2.0 app.
