This is from one of my favorite blogs, PostSecret. I am torn between repulsion, fascination and the suspicion that it was actually written by a web-savvy military recruiter. It has that “email spam” tone.

i’m a u.s. marine deployed to fallujah, so i can’t send you a postcard privately. my secret is that every time we receive indirect fire (mortars usually), i find it exciting and i secretly hope that the round lands as close to me as possible. i also love getting shot at, it’s a thousand times better than sex.
